Participate in our 2025 Community Engagement
The Beaver Hills Watershed Stewardship Society is a non-profit society whose current objectives are:
To stop the current decline in lake levels, restore lakebeds to highwater mark, and protect lake levels over the longer term by guiding the stewardship of the watershed.
To organize and participate in environmental projects designed to protect water quality and aquatic ecosystems, and bring awareness to the extreme sensitivity of this particular natural system.
To educate, through a process of community consultation, and increase public understanding of the lakes and surrounding watershed by offering workshops and publishing relevant stewardship information.
To conduct and collaborate on research relating to the health of the lakes, riparian zones, and groundwater system that will ultimately support a watershed sub-basin planning process.
To maintain a functioning organization by building capacity and growing multi-county and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
