Get Involved – Join a Committee!
The Advocacy Committee works to ensure that the health of the watershed is reflected in local decisions, policies, and planning. This group builds relationships with municipalities, partners, and landowners, and helps bring forward the voice of the community in support of clean water, healthy wetlands, and responsible land use.
Members track emerging issues, share information with decision-makers, and support collaborative solutions that protect the watershed for future generations. By connecting people, policy, and practical action, the committee helps turn community priorities into real change.
The Science and Research Committee builds and shares knowledge about the watershed. This includes supporting water monitoring, collecting and organizing data, and contributing to a clear understanding of watershed health and trends over time.
Working with partners, experts, and volunteers, the committee helps ensure that restoration and stewardship efforts are guided by reliable information. This science-based approach strengthens decision-making, identifies priorities, and helps the community understand what is changing—and why.
The Outreach Committee connects people to the watershed and to each other. Through events, workshops, school programs, and communications, this group helps raise awareness about local water issues and inspires people to get involved.
The committee focuses on making information accessible, engaging, and relevant for all ages. By building relationships and encouraging participation, outreach helps grow a strong, informed community that cares for the watershed and takes action to protect it.
